Saved by the Grace of God and an organ donor named Tom
Washington, IL
I grew up loving the art of sewing. My Mother and Grandmother were self-taught seamstresses, and I found my soul was always at peace watching them create and turn a yard of fabric into something that was handmade and beautiful.
In 2016 I received a life-saving liver transplant at UI Health in Chicago. My organ donor, Tom, was a 25-year-old young man who lost his life in a tragic accident. Tom had left several life-saving gifts including one for me. I honor Tom daily and am forever changed by the Grace of God and Tom’s gift and the generosity of his family~
I hope you enjoy your handmade item made by me and I hope you make every moment count in this crazy thing called life.
